Umm so opening night thoughts: Brett Myers definitely needs some more practice with keeping the ball on the ground instead of in the stands. His curveball did start to look better after a while however. Good defense by the braves allowing only one run in the game. Derek Lowe was great in his debut. I'll post about opening day later today or tommorow

MLBWhiz

After 2 days in Ohio and a tour of progressive field I arrived at PNC park to see the mets take on the Pirates. I had my hopes up that the Mets would win and was confident because Santana was pitching. I was one of the first 100 people or so inside. I unfortunately however did not have a ticket for the outfield so I was forced to stand by the dugout. About 30 minutes later Damion Easley came over to sign and I got him to sign a ball and a card of him with the Tigers in 2000. A few minutes later Delgado misplayed a ball a first and it hopped down into the camera well. Everyone saw it, but the security refused to get it. (He probably thought it would be to close to exercise. More on this later I then almost got my glove confiscated for attempted the glove trick. That resulted in several people in my section booing the security guard. (There's a first). After that Ramon Castro tossed a ball into the crowd. 15 people or so reached with, but I was the only one with a glove. It was in my glove when an annoying/rude/obnoxious man knocked it out. But a little kid got so all is well. Then Kevin Burkhardt (SNY reporter) came onto the field. He was very nice to everyone and I knew he had access to the camera well. I asked him very politely if he could get the ball and he did! My first ever ball. Soon after I was asked to return to my seat. The Mets won 4-0 and Santana pitched a CG 3-hitter. After the game I tried to get a ball or an utograph but walked away empty. Then it was time for the 8 hour drive back home so I could get up at 5AM to go to band Camp.

1st ball

1st autograph

3rd lifetime stadium (AT&T, Shea)
